Live Nation Canada has entered into a multi-year naming rights agreement with RBC for Toronto’s landmark waterfront amphitheatre, now officially renamed the RBC Amphitheatre. The partnership will support a significant redevelopment project that transforms the open-air venue into a year-round destination for live music and entertainment by 2030.

The revitalization is designed to elevate the fan experience and strengthen Toronto’s position as a leading global entertainment hub. Once completed, the venue will accommodate over 1.5 million visitors annually, offering expanded indoor and outdoor capabilities and hosting a broader range of performances throughout the year.

Under the agreement, Live Nation and RBC will collaborate on enhancements to the visitor experience, including new hospitality areas, improved food and beverage facilities, a pedestrian bridge for easier access, and a new lookout deck with elevator access to the lawn. The design will preserve the amphitheatre’s signature open-lawn seating and skyline views, ensuring continuity with its long-standing role in Toronto’s cultural landscape.

The transformation will be guided by sustainable design principles aligned with the Toronto Green Standard and Live Nation’s Green Nation initiative. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2027, with a phased reopening planned between 2029 and 2030.

The investment builds on RBC’s two decades of commitment to Canadian arts and music, having contributed more than $140 million to cultural organizations and supported over 50,000 creatives nationwide.
