The County of Grande Prairie announced a new naming rights partnership with J.D.A. Ventures Ltd., resulting in the renaming of the County Sportsplex to the J.D.A. County Sportsplex. This long-term sponsorship agreement will support the continued enhancement and maintenance of the County's premier sports and recreation facility, ensuring it remains a key asset for the community's growth and development.
“Naming sponsorships play a critical role in the sustainability and enhancement of our community infrastructure,” said County of Grande Prairie Reeve Bob Marshall. “The J.D.A. County Sportsplex will continue to serve as a hub for young athletes, families, and regional tournaments, helping foster a sense of community and bringing people together.”
The J.D.A. County Sportsplex is one of the region’s largest and most versatile sports and recreation facilities, offering a range of amenities including:
Twin NHL-sized ice surfaces
A 31,500 sq. ft. indoor turf field for soccer, football, rugby, baseball, and more
A 240-meter indoor track
Fitness gym, yoga studio, meeting rooms, and a licensed lounge
Outdoor sports fields, slo-pitch and baseball diamonds, playgrounds, and a walking trail
The facility will undergo a rebranding process, with all signage and new branding expected to be fully transitioned by mid-May.
