The City of Mississauga has signed a 25-year naming rights agreement with Mattamy Homes, granting the developer exclusive naming rights to the 57-acre Churchill Meadows Sports Park. Effective July 2022, the facility is officially named the Mattamy Sports Park.
Opened in October 2021, the park is located at 5320 Ninth Line, adjacent to the Churchill Meadows Community Centre. As part of the agreement, Mattamy Homes’ investment will support Phase 2 construction, which includes a lit cricket pitch, additional sports fields, tennis courts, and a leash-free zone.
The deal also provides for updated branding across the facility, including wayfinding and park signage, City website listings, promotional materials, and signage on the seasonal dome over Outdoor Field 1.
Currently, the park features two tournament-level soccer fields, a playground, spray pad, skate park, multi-purpose court, outdoor fitness equipment, and walking trails. The City has positioned the agreement as a key driver for enhancing the park’s status as a local and tournament destination.
