The City of Leduc is seeking a strategic naming rights partner for the Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC), the municipality’s 309,000 sq. ft. flagship recreation facility and the region’s leading hub for health, wellness, and community activity.

Since opening in 2009, the LRC has become a cornerstone of civic life, drawing approximately 1.1 million visits annually, operating 1,300 programs, and hosting more than 250 events each year. With 7,000 members and over 80 acres of surrounding playing fields, it is a facility of significant scale and visibility.

The Centre offers a comprehensive mix of high-quality amenities, including three NHL-sized arenas, a full aquatic centre with competition and leisure pools, a 9,000 sq. ft. fitness centre, two fieldhouses totaling 28,000 sq. ft., an eight-sheet curling complex, a four-lane indoor track with training zones, and a range of event and meeting spaces. Community-oriented features such as an indoor playground, teaching kitchen, and a central lobby with showpiece fireplace further position the LRC as both a recreational anchor and a gathering place.

The City has a proven record of sponsorship success, with more than 80 per cent of current partners engaged for over five years and half for more than 15 years. Building on this foundation, the City is now targeting a minimum 10-year facility naming rights agreement, valued at $150,000 annually.

This initiative reflects a strategic effort to align the LRC with a partner that recognizes the long-term brand, community, and reputational value of one of Alberta’s most prominent municipal recreation assets.
